The problem

Most founders are spending on marketing with no idea what's actually working.

You might have Google Analytics installed. You might have it open occasionally and look at the traffic graph. But if you can't answer, with confidence, right now, what your cost per lead is, which channel produced your last three enquiries, and what percentage of site visitors complete your contact form, then your analytics isn't working. Data that doesn't change decisions is just noise.

The GA4 migration caught most small businesses out. The new interface is more powerful than Universal Analytics, but it requires proper configuration to be useful. Events need to be set up. Conversion actions need to be defined. The data has to be connected to your ad platforms. Without that setup, you have traffic data but no conversion data, which means you can see how many people came to your site but not what any of them did.

Enough to make decisions, not so much that you need a data analyst to read it.

Conversion tracking is set up and verified at the start: form submissions, phone clicks, thank-you page goals. So when a lead comes in, you know exactly what generated it. Google Ads and GA4 are linked so campaign spend connects to conversion data. Search Console is connected so organic search data sits alongside everything else. The picture is complete from the moment you go live.
